About

CareOS is a clinic management and electronic medical record system, designed for private clinics in Israel. It brings together in a single calendar and a single record what most clinics today spread across several tools: appointment scheduling, clinical documentation, prescriptions, tests and results, billing, documents, media and a patient portal. The guiding principle is simple: what is actually done in the treatment room should be documented in one place, in the user’s language, and in a way that can be reviewed after the fact.

The product was built from scratch, but not all at once. Before the first line of code was written, a full specification document was drawn up — twenty-one chapters describing every screen, every field, every business rule and the entire data model. Only then was the code written, directly in Hebrew and right to left. The processes themselves rest on the way clinics really work: the visit is the unit around which documentation, orders and billing are organized, and a substantial part of the system is configurable data — form layouts, value lists and permissions — rather than hard-coded logic that requires a programmer for every change. The essential difference is the starting point: Hebrew and the writing direction are not a layer laid on top of a system built for English, but a founding assumption that is tested automatically on every screen before every release.

Our audience is private clinics in Israel — a solo practitioner, a small partnership, or a multidisciplinary center with several rooms and a few dozen clinicians. Especially in places where documentation also includes photos, video or imaging studies, and where it matters to know who viewed what and when. The system is designed to meet the privacy-protection and information-security requirements that apply to medical information in Israel, and we are careful to state explicitly that we do not claim any standard or certification; this is design toward these requirements, not a certificate.

What the system does not include

A definition becomes clearer once you also say what lies outside it. CareOS is not a hospital system: it has no bed management, no operating theatres and no ward rota scheduling. It is not accounting software, even though it produces billing documents and passes them on to whoever keeps the books. It is not a marketing tool or a general CRM — lead management, campaigns and marketing automation are not part of the product. And it does not replace legal or information-security advice: it supplies the instruments — permissions, an audit log and consent records — but the decision about who may see what, and how long data is kept, stays with the clinic.
